IGEC Sagar - Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 1981. Over the years it has grown into a full-fledged Department offering undergraduate and Post Graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. It has so far graduated more than 2500 Mechanical Engineers who are contributing significantly to the development and running of variouspublic and private organizations in India and abroad in the fields of Academics, Research, Industrial and Social sector.

Department of Mechanical Engineering offers 4 years B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

The Department strives to impart quality education keeping in view the global scenario and social obligation. The track record of the department, judged by the employment potential of our students and noteworthy achievements of illustrious alumni, by any stands, is excellent. The department strives for continuous improvement in quality of education through curriculum development and up gradation of laboratories.The department can boast of very well equipped Heat Engines & Strength of Materials, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Hydraulics & Theory of Machines Laboratories.

The department also has a well-equipped workshop that caters to the need of the entire college.
